One of the brilliant students of NIPS received the Internship at Vatel Institute, Nimes, France. We participated at the West Bengal Tourism festival held from 22nd -25th February ‘ 07 at Nalban , Salt lake , Kolkata organized by the West Bengal Tourism Development corporation. 2nd Runner up of Gardenia Chef Contest 2007 conducted by Garden City College , Bangalore. Declered as one of the five best professional institutes in India- GurukulJyoti Award 06

The 3rd International Food " Music festival organized by NIPS and Swabhumi on the 23, 24, 24th Dec’06 at the urban zone of the heritage plaza, Swabhumi , Kolkata. Celebrated our 13th foundation day. We were requested by the authorities of Sports Authority of India (SAI) to help the famous athletes Soma Biswas and Susmita Singh Rai with their diet.

NIPS organized a high tea for the distinguished guests present at the convocation of Calcutta University on the request of Mr. Ujjwal Basu , Registrar of Calcutta University. His excellency the Governor of West Bengal , Gopal Krishna Gandhi one of the dignitaries present at the convocation. Mr. Dilip Gupta , ex-chairman, Bidhan Nagar Municipal Corporation lit the ceremonial lamp and Ms. Soma Pramanik , Councillor, ward number 14 broke the coconut and inaugurated the new building.

We participated at the West Bengal Tourism Festival held from 15th - 19th April '05 at Nalban organized by the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation. Certificate of merit awarded to Subhendu Das of our institute in BEST OF BENGAL Open Body Building Championship(State level) held on 21st January '06 by West Bengal State Body Building Association.

Winner of Nestle Young Chef Competition 2002 " Nestle Hospitality Brain Twister 2002, conducted by Banarasi Das Chandiwala Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, New Delhi. NIPS is the first Hotel Management Istitute to be recognised by CAB for playing Cricket Tournament conducted by them.

Winner of first and third prizes in the Chef Competition, organised by Coconut Development Board, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt of India on World Coconut Day, 2nd September'02. Organised and participated at World Tourism Day Celebration with Eastern Railways " Government of India Regional Tourist Office, Akash T.V, a leading Bengali Channel featured a programme on Cookery by our Chefs for ten episodes.
